St. Peters, Missouri is rated among the best places to live in the nation. The city is located in St. Charles County, a suburb of St. Louis. The city has grown in population from 15,700 in 1980, to approximately 52,575 today. This makes St. Peters the seventh fastest growing city in the State of Missouri. The city boasts of modern housing, numerous commercial enterprises, several shopping centers, support services, and growing industries and entertainment. In 2008 St. Peters was dubbed as one of best place to live by Money magazine , putting it at the top in the state of Missouri. The City of St. Peters currently has over 2,000 business establishments providing a very well rounded business community. The "Rec-Plex" in St. Peters is an award-winning recreation and fitness complex that underwent an $18.5 million expansion in 2007. The city also hosts the county's largest shopping center, Mid Rivers Mall, which plans a 120,000 sq ft expansion. St. Peters also has a wonderful Community & Arts Center that is known throughout the region as a destination for the arts. The cost of living index is below average and the sun shines an average of 200 days a year! Interstate 70 passes through the city, providing a major transportation link. The western mouth of Highway 370 begins at Interstate 70 near Mid Rivers Mall and the St. Peters Special Business District. From there, the highway immediately travels through the corridor's newest developmental area, Premier 370, an 1,800-acre mixed use business park for office, retail, warehouse, light industrial, and public recreation.
